Marketing Opportunities

Farmers' Markets

The Farmers’ Market Quality Assurance scheme was launched in September 2006.

Developed in consultation with the Scottish Association of Farmers’ Markets the new Quality Assurance scheme underlines the importance of farmers’ markets to tourism, recognising those markets that offer excellent customer experience and marketing them as part of the overall tourist experience for visitors to a particular town or region.

All guidance notes, criteria for classification, information on fees and application forms will be available soon.
